As sad as it sounds, Jack's first zoo experience was to the amazing Lufkin Zoo. It was a nice ending to a relaxing Spring Break!
There were mangled gators.
One lion sleeping in the background. We discovered quickly that if it wasn't moving...Jack had no interest.
He liked this lion much more.
Crocodiles. Well, actually the first picture that I labeled aligators very well could have been the crocs, but who knows!

We finished the day with a train ride.
I, of course, splurged for the $3 train whistle. Worth every penny. Jack has a sweet look of amazement every time Dad or I make the whistle blow!
